Fountain HRT cost, unpacked: what actually hits your card per cycle and per year

This page covers Fountain's menopause HRT program for women. Fountain also runs a separate testosterone program for men, called TRT, with its own pricing page. As of Sep 8, 2026, it uses the same three price tiers. Nothing below is about that program.

How much does Fountain HRT actually cost per month?

Fountain HRT costs about $150 to $200 for each four-week cycle. The price depends only on how far ahead you pay. Every plan gets the same care: medication, video visits, 2-day shipping and 24/7 support.

Which plan fits you? Pro is the cheapest if you're sure you'll stay for a year. Starter is the simplest if you want to try Fountain first. Standard sits in between. Fountain takes no insurance, so these are the prices you pay either way.

So if you've seen Fountain advertised at $150 a cycle, that's the Pro rate. It rewards the biggest upfront payment. Some older reviews call the $199 plan a "testosterone tier." That's not how Fountain's pricing page works today. Testosterone is part of your hormone kit at any tier, when your provider thinks it fits.

Does Fountain bill monthly, or every 4 weeks?

Fountain bills every four weeks, not every month. Four weeks is shorter than a calendar month. So a year holds 13 billing cycles, not 12.

On the Starter plan, that means 13 charges a year. A monthly plan at the same price would charge you 12 times. That extra charge is easy to miss when you set a budget.

The Standard and Pro plans work another way. You prepay a block of cycles in one larger charge. Standard charges you about $500 every 12 weeks. Pro charges about $1,800 every 48 weeks, so roughly once every eleven months.

What does a full year, or several years, of Fountain cost?

Take each plan's cycle price and multiply it by the 13 cycles in a year. Here is where each plan lands.

• Pro: about $1,950 a year, paid as one charge of about $1,800 roughly every eleven months
• Standard: about $2,170 a year, paid in charges of about $500, a little more than four times a year
• Starter: about $2,585 a year, paid in 13 charges of about $200

Pro saves you about $635 a year compared with Starter. If you stay two or three years, the same math repeats at each renewal. That assumes Fountain keeps its current prices.

Pro is the cheapest plan, but it asks for the most trust upfront. Fountain's terms say the cost of services and medications is final, even if they go unused. If you cancel, your account closes at the end of the period you already paid for. So a prepay of about $1,800 is a much bigger step than a charge you can stop every four weeks. Be confident you'll stay on treatment before you choose it.

What's actually included in that all-in price, and what still costs extra?

Every plan includes the same things. Your hormone kit, video visits, 2-day shipping and 24/7 concierge support are all in the fee. Many platforms quote a low price, then bill visits on top. Fountain doesn't. The one catch is that bloodwork is not in the bundle.

• Medication: estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, when your provider thinks it fits, in one kit made for you
• Labs, meaning blood tests: not included. Fountain says routine hormone-level testing isn't part of its standard HRT care. Your dose is guided by your symptoms, history and how you respond. If you want bloodwork, budget for it separately.
• Provider visits: video visits are included, with dose changes as your symptoms change
• Shipping and support: 2-day shipping and 24/7 concierge support at every tier
• Not included: Fountain's separate weight-loss program, called Fountain GLP. It uses GLP-1 medications and starts at about $300 a month. It's a different product from HRT.

Are there hidden fees, or is the all-in price really all-in?

Mostly, the all-in price holds up. There is one known gap, and it's better to learn about it now than later.

One Trustpilot reviewer described a lab-draw site that moved farther away with each visit. It ended up over an hour's drive, at a lab that didn't take their insurance. The bloodwork cost them more than $300 on top of their Fountain fee. Fountain's HRT page doesn't list bloodwork as covered, so treat labs as a separate cost.

Other reviewers describe duplicate charges that took a while to fix. Some mention slow prescription deliveries or appointments moved at the last minute. These don't look like the norm. Fountain holds 4.4 out of 5 from 395 Trustpilot reviews. That profile also covers the men's testosterone program, so not every review is about menopause care. Read the reviews on Trustpilot and look at a few negative ones before you decide.

Does Fountain take insurance, FSA or HSA?

No, Fountain doesn't take insurance. Its site says "no insurance involved." Every plan is cash-pay. There are no claims to file and no prior authorization, which means no wait for your insurer to approve treatment first.

If you want insurance to cover your HRT visits, look at a platform that bills insurance instead. Midi Health is one example.

Fountain does accept HSA and FSA cards. These are health savings and spending accounts funded with pre-tax money. Prescription hormone therapy usually counts as an eligible expense. That can soften the larger upfront charge on the Standard or Pro plan.

Is there a Fountain discount code or coupon?

We found no discount code on Fountain's own site as of this check. Some coupon sites advertise up to 75% off. None of those offers appears on Fountain's site. Coupon claims for online prescriptions are often out of date, so don't count on one until it works at checkout.

Fountain's real discount is its plan structure. The 48-week Pro plan costs 24% less per cycle than Starter. If total cost matters more than flexibility, that prepay is your built-in discount. No code needed.

How does Fountain's price compare to Alloy, Midi Health, Winona, and Inner Balance?

On price alone, Fountain sits toward the higher end. Its cheapest plan runs about $1,950 a year. Alloy costs about $1,525 in the first year for a patch plus progesterone. But the two prices don't cover the same things.

Fountain isn't the cheapest price here. But it's one of the few where testosterone doesn't mean an extra fee or a second platform. Labs are the part it leaves out. Alloy doesn't require labs, and Midi bills them separately, so compare on that basis.

Is Fountain worth the price?

Fountain makes the most sense if low libido is part of your picture, along with hot flashes and poor sleep. That's often when a testosterone conversation comes up. Fountain's one fee covers the medication and the visits that adjust it. There's no separate testosterone charge to negotiate later.

The trade-offs are real too. The cheapest yearly rate needs the biggest upfront payment. Treatment you've already paid for isn't refunded. And a few reviewers describe duplicate charges that were slow to fix.
