How much is tirzepatide through Ro? Every dose tier

Ro sends Zepbound KwikPens through LillyDirect, Lilly's own pharmacy program. So Ro's prices match what Lilly charges people who pay cash.

Your dose sets the price. The 2.5 mg starting dose costs $299 a month. The 5 mg dose costs $399 a month. Every dose from 7.5 mg to 15 mg costs $449 a month.

That $449 price is a Lilly offer. It holds only if you refill within 45 days of your last delivery. If you miss that window, the pen costs $499 to $699, depending on the dose.

Add the $149 membership, and most people pay about $600 a month at a maintenance dose. That is the dose you stay on for the long term.

You do not start at the top price. Your provider raises the dose in steps, with at least four weeks at each step. So your first months cost less than the months that follow.

How much is semaglutide through Ro?

Semaglutide is the drug in Wegovy. Ro offers it as a daily pill or a weekly shot. Both need the membership on top.

The Wegovy pill won FDA approval in December 2025. Ro began offering it in January 2026. It starts at $149 a month at the 1.5 mg dose. It rises to $299 a month at the 9 mg and 25 mg doses.

The Wegovy pen is the weekly shot, and it costs $349 a month. New patients who sign up by Dec 31, 2026 pay $199 for each of their first two fills. Those fills are the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starter doses. The higher Wegovy HD 7.2 mg dose costs $399 a month.

Ro also offers Foundayo, a newer GLP-1 pill from Lilly. The FDA approved it on April 1, 2026. It costs $149 to $299 a month, depending on the dose. You can take it any time of day, with no food or water rules.

Ro does not sell compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide. Compounded drugs are copies mixed by a pharmacy, and they are not FDA-approved. The FDA declared the semaglutide shortage over in February 2025. Ro now sells only FDA-approved brand-name drugs. If you want a cheaper compounded version, you will need another provider.

What does Ro Body's membership fee cover?

The $149 monthly membership pays for ongoing care, not a single visit. Here is what it includes.

• Check-in visits: up to 24 a year, then $15 for each extra visit

Prepaying lowers the membership. A 12-month prepay costs $74 a month, or $888 up front. That saves about $900 a year compared with paying $149 each month.

Shorter prepays exist too. You pay $99 a month for 3 months, or $89 a month for 6. A prepay covers the membership only. Your medication is still billed each month.

Hidden fees and what to watch for before you sign up

Most complaints about Ro are about billing, not care. The advertised starting price covers only the membership. Your medication arrives on a second bill, and that surprises some members.

The $39 first month is refunded if Ro finds you are not eligible for GLP-1 medication. Once you are enrolled, paid membership fees are not refunded.

• Two bills: the membership and the medication are charged separately.
• Extra visits: after 24 visits in a year, each extra visit costs $15.
• Extra labs: tests beyond the one your provider orders cost more, depending on the test.
• Your deductible: what you pay Ro does not count toward your insurance deductible. That is the amount you pay yourself before insurance starts paying.
• Renewal: cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You can cancel by email or from your account.
• HSA and FSA cards: Ro does not accept these health savings cards. You can send your receipt to your plan and ask to be repaid.

Knowing these points ahead of time prevents most of the surprises behind bad reviews. Ro scores 3.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from more than 6,700 reviews as of September 2026. What does a full year of Ro tirzepatide cost? The annual estimate

Take someone paying cash for Zepbound on the monthly membership. Her first month costs $338, which is the $299 starting pen plus the $39 first month.

After that, her dose climbs and the membership goes to $149 a month. Her first year lands in this range:

• Monthly membership: about $6,600 to $6,900 for the first year
• Annual prepay: about $5,800 to $6,100 for the first year

The range depends on how fast your dose climbs. The low end assumes two months at 2.5 mg and three at 5 mg before you reach 7.5 mg. The high end assumes you reach 7.5 mg by month three. A late refill that drops you out of Lilly's $449 offer adds to the total.

The Wegovy pill costs much less over a year. The low end assumes you stay on the 1.5 mg starting dose. The high end assumes you reach the 9 mg or 25 mg dose by month three.

Is Ro GLP-1 worth the cost? Who it's built for

Ro makes the most sense in two cases.

The first is if you have commercial insurance that may cover Wegovy or Zepbound. Commercial means a plan through your job or one you buy yourself. Ro's team handles the approval paperwork. If coverage comes through, the membership is a fair price for ongoing care.

The second is if you want a brand-name, FDA-approved drug inside a structured program. That means coaching, regular check-ins and a provider you can message.

If you pay cash and want the lowest bill, compounded options at Mochi Health or Fridays cost less. If you have Medicare or Medicaid, know that Ro does not work with those plans.

Ro can also suit women in perimenopause or menopause who are new to GLP-1s. It is a well-known platform with clinical staff, and it has run since 2017. You pay more for that reassurance. Ro does not offer hormone therapy, so menopause care would come from another provider.
