8 Ways to Get a GLP-1 With No Membership Fee (2026)
There are two real routes. You can buy brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound from the maker's own pharmacy with a prescription, or choose a compounded plan where one price covers the drug and the care.
Yes: Novo Nordisk and Lilly sell Wegovy and Zepbound direct with no membership, from about $150 a month for the Wegovy pill, and you only need a prescription. The pill rises to about $300 at higher doses. An all-in compounded plan such as JoinSkinny stays at about $150 every 28 days, care included. Wegovy is semaglutide and Zepbound is tirzepatide; compounded means a pharmacy-made copy the FDA has not approved.

What you'll actually pay
We may earn a commission if you sign up through a link. It never affects the ranking. How we review
Sema is semaglutide, the medicine in Ozempic and Wegovy. Tirz is tirzepatide, the medicine in Mounjaro and Zepbound. Tirz acts on two appetite hormones instead of one. It often brings more weight loss, and it costs more.

Which no-membership GLP-1 fits my situation?
Start with the line that sounds like you. Each one points to a GLP-1 route with no membership fee on top of the medicine.
- Our pick, one flat price with nothing on top: JoinSkinny, about $150 every 28 days for compounded semaglutide, at every dose, with a written weight-goal warranty.
- Lowest price, if you can prepay: Nu Image Medical, about $90 a month on a 6-month plan, for semaglutide or tirzepatide.
- Brand-name semaglutide: the Wegovy pill from NovoCare, Novo Nordisk's own pharmacy, from about $150 a month.
- Brand-name tirzepatide: Zepbound from LillyDirect, Lilly's own pharmacy service, from about $300 a month.
- Hormone therapy on the same account: Gala, about $180 to $200 a month for compounded tirzepatide.
- Pickup at your local pharmacy: the Wegovy savings offer or a TrumpRx.gov coupon, or the Zepbound KwikPen at the self-pay price.
- With insurance or Medicare: your plan, a maker's savings card or the $50 Medicare GLP-1 Bridge may beat every price here.
The no-membership GLP-1 providers, one by one
These eight routes charge no membership fee. They split into two groups. Six are all-in compounded plans, where one price covers the medicine and the care. Two are the makers' own pharmacies, which sell only the drug.
A compounded GLP-1 is made by a pharmacy for one patient. It is not an FDA-approved finished drug. Brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound are.
JoinSkinny: about $150 every 28 days, nothing on top
JoinSkinny's home page says it plainly: no memberships or hidden fees. Compounded semaglutide costs $149 for each 28-day cycle. The price stays the same as your dose goes up.
- What the price covers: the medicine, clinician messaging and shipping.
- Billing rhythm: shipments come every 28 days, so a year means 13 charges. Bundles of 3, 6 or 12 months are billed upfront.
- Refund rule: the program fee is not refunded once paid, unless no medicine is prescribed after the first consult.
- Cancel: at least 48 hours before the end of your term. Renewal can bill up to 10 days early.
Its written warranty refunds six months of fees if you miss the goal weight you set at sign-up. The rules are strict: no gaps, no microdosing and a goal of at most a 10% loss. Trustpilot rates it 4.7 out of 5, on only about 100 reviews. Tirzepatide is priced only after the intake.
Nu Image Medical: the lowest price, on a 6-month prepay
Nu Image Medical, a Tampa clinic, charges the same for compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide. Neither needs a membership.
- 6-month plan: about $90 a month, billed every six months.
- 3-month plan: about $200 a month.
- Month to month: about $300.
- Included: shipping, and the same price at every dose.
Its refund policy says all sales are final. Plans renew on their own until you cancel, at least 48 hours before the renewal date. An optional add-on membership exists, but you never need it to get the medicine. Trustpilot rates it 4.4 out of 5, on about 1,000 reviews.
Arbor: no membership fee, lowest on a prepaid year
Arbor, formerly Harbor, sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide shots. Its home page says no membership fee, and the price does not climb with your dose.
- Semaglutide: about $100 a month on a 12-month prepay, or about $150 month to month.
- Tirzepatide: about $150 a month on a 12-month prepay, or about $250 month to month.
- Included: visits, check-ins, dose changes, a dietitian and shipping.
Read the refund rules first. Once a prescription is written, nothing is refunded, even prepaid months not yet shipped. Trustpilot rates it 4.5 out of 5, on only 51 reviews.
BetterMe Rx: no membership, both drugs, longest plans cheapest
BetterMe Rx says no membership is required. Each plan covers the medicine, supplies, the provider review and free shipping.
- Semaglutide: about $200 month to month, or about $100 a month on a 12-month plan paid upfront.
- Tirzepatide: about $250 month to month, or about $160 a month on a 12-month plan.
Once an order is processed, it is not refunded, including the unused months of a prepaid plan. Reviews are mixed, at 3.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot.
Gala: compounded tirzepatide with hormone therapy on the same account
Gala is built for women in midlife. One price covers the assessment, every dose, dose changes, messaging and shipping. There is no separate membership.
- Tirzepatide: about $180 a month on the yearly plan, or about $200 on the 3-month plan.
- Semaglutide: from about $130 a month.
- Hormone therapy: estradiol and progesterone on the same account, at an added cost.
Its refund policy says nothing is refunded when you cancel, unless a provider rules you out on medical grounds. Cancel at least 72 hours before your billing date. Trustpilot rates it 4.6 out of 5. Its grade from the Better Business Bureau is C-, mostly over billing. Our Gala review has the details.
Pallas Health: billed every 4 weeks, charged only once prescribed
Pallas Health says its compounded plans are one price with no separate membership fee. Nothing is charged until a clinician prescribes.
- Semaglutide: about $140 for the first 4 weeks, then about $200 every 4 weeks.
- Tirzepatide: about $180 for the first 4 weeks, then about $300 every 4 weeks.
- Prepay: 12, 24 and 48-week plans lower the price.
Billing every 4 weeks means 13 charges a year. Once a prescription is issued, the current cycle is final. Pallas launched in 2026 and has no Trustpilot reviews yet.
NovoCare Pharmacy: brand-name Wegovy, drug only
NovoCare is Novo Nordisk's own pharmacy. It charges one cash price per dose, with no membership and free delivery. You bring the prescription.
- Wegovy pill: about $150 at the starting dose, about $200 at 4 mg, about $300 at 9 or 25 mg.
- Wegovy pen: about $350 a month. New patients pay about $200 for their first two fills through December 31, 2026.
- Wegovy HD pen, 7.2 mg: about $400.
Our NovoCare Wegovy guide walks through ordering, step by step.
LillyDirect: brand-name Zepbound, drug only
LillyDirect is Eli Lilly's pharmacy service. It lists no membership or service fee. Delivery is free, and Walmart Pharmacy offers free pickup.
- Zepbound KwikPen or vial: about $300 at 2.5 mg and about $400 at 5 mg.
- 7.5 mg to 15 mg: about $450, if you refill within 45 days of your last fill.
- Late refill at those doses: about $500 at 7.5 mg, about $700 at 10 to 15 mg.
Needles for the pen or syringes for the vial are bought separately. Our LillyDirect Zepbound guide explains the 45-day rule.
Henry Meds and other all-in plans
A few more brands bundle the medicine and the care with no membership. They include Henry Meds, ReadyRx, TrimRx, Joi, Oak and LevelsRx. Their prices and billing rules differ, and some bill every three months.
Henry Meds prices each product separately, and the price can depend on your dose. See our Henry Meds review and how it compares in Henry Meds vs Ro. The cheapest GLP-1 ranking prices all of them.
Which GLP-1 pharmacy sells Wegovy or Zepbound with no membership?
You need only a valid prescription. Both makers now sell their weight-loss drugs for cash, one fill at a time.
Wegovy: NovoCare, your local pharmacy, TrumpRx or Costco
- NovoCare Pharmacy: order online, with free delivery to your door.
- Your local pharmacy: Novo's savings offer gives the same self-pay price at the counter.
- TrumpRx.gov coupon: a pen coupon you show at a retail pharmacy. It keeps the two intro fills at about $200 through December 31, 2026. It lists no pill.
- Costco Member Value Pricing: as the name says, it is for Costco members, so it is not a no-membership route. It covers higher pill doses and the pen, with shipping extra and no intro price.
NovoCare's own page now says its pricing will be updated after December 31, 2026. Plan your first fills with that date in mind.
Zepbound, Foundayo and Mounjaro: LillyDirect and local pharmacies
Since March 2026, the Zepbound KwikPen is also sold at the self-pay price at local pharmacies. The vial stays a LillyDirect product.
Foundayo is Lilly's daily GLP-1 pill. It starts at about $150 a month through LillyDirect, with no membership. Our Foundayo cost guide lists every dose.
Mounjaro, the same drug as Zepbound for type 2 diabetes, now has a self-pay price at LillyDirect too. It is about $500 a month at every dose.
Where do I get the prescription if I don't join a program?
The maker's pharmacy fills prescriptions but does not write them. You still need a licensed prescriber. You have three simple doors.
- Your own doctor or gynecologist: a visit at your usual copay. If she already manages your hormone therapy, your records stay in one place.
- A pay-per-visit online doctor: PlushCare charges per visit, and its membership is optional. See our PlushCare cost breakdown.
- A pay-per-request service: Push Health charges per prescription request, with no membership. See our Push Health cost breakdown.
Sesame sells one-time visits, but its weight-loss care runs through a monthly subscription called Success by Sesame. Our Sesame review explains both.
Lilly's LillyDirect page also lists outside telehealth options. Some charge per visit, others per month, and the medicine is always billed separately.
Who adjusts my dose and handles side effects with no membership?
This is the real trade-off. A membership mostly pays for follow-up care. Without one, someone still has to own your dose plan.
Each step up in dose needs a new prescription. A pharmacy like NovoCare or LillyDirect cannot change your dose on its own.
- Maker-direct route: your own doctor or a pay-per-visit clinician writes each new dose. Plan a visit before each step.
- All-in compounded plans: dose changes are part of the one price at JoinSkinny, Arbor, BetterMe Rx, Gala and Pallas.
- Zepbound's 45-day rule: it only applies from 7.5 mg up. A slow refill at those doses moves you to the higher price.
The prescriber's role is set by the label: each GLP-1 starts low and goes up in steps, and side effects can slow that climb. Our GLP-1 dosage guide shows the steps for each drug.
No membership vs no subscription: is an all-in plan really fee-free?
No membership does not mean no subscription. Every all-in compounded plan on this page renews on its own until you cancel.
- 28-day or 4-week billing: JoinSkinny and Pallas charge 13 times a year, not 12.
- Prepaid terms: Nu Image, Arbor and BetterMe Rx bill several months at once to reach their lowest price.
- No refunds: most of these plans refund nothing once a prescription is written or an order is processed.
- Cancel windows: 48 hours before renewal at JoinSkinny and Nu Image, 72 hours at Gala.
Read the terms, not just the sales page. Eden now charges one all-in price at checkout, about $100 a month for semaglutide and $130 for tirzepatide. Its Terms of Service still describe a monthly membership. The order page shows the real total before you pay. See our Eden cost breakdown.
Only one route is truly subscription-free. That is a maker's pharmacy plus a doctor you pay per visit. You buy one fill at a time, and nothing renews unless you order it.
Which programs add a membership, and what does it pay for?
A membership earns its cost when it does real work for you. Think dose follow-up, insurance paperwork or hormone therapy in the same place. It is pure overhead when it sits on top of the same NovoCare or LillyDirect price you could pay alone.
Mochi Health: low membership, drug priced by dose
- Membership: about $80 a month, or about $70, $60 or $50 a month if you prepay 3, 6 or 12 months.
- First month: free on the 1-month plan, though not in every state.
- Included: visits and help with insurance approvals. Brand-name drugs and hormone therapy can sit on the same membership.
Compounded semaglutide adds about $60 to $190 a month by dose. Trustpilot rates Mochi 4.5 out of 5. See our Mochi Health cost breakdown.
Ro: brand-name drugs plus a full-service membership
- Membership: about $150 a month, with a $39 first month refunded if you're not eligible.
- Prepaid: about $100, $90 or $75 a month for 3, 6 or 12 months.
- Included: clinician visits, coaching, insurance help and a metabolic lab test when your provider orders one.
Ro bills the Wegovy pill, the Wegovy pen and Zepbound at the makers' own prices, as a second charge. Trustpilot rates Ro 3.9 out of 5. See our Ro cost breakdown.
WeightWatchers Clinic: coaching, with a 6- or 12-month term
- Membership: $25 for the first month, then about $75 a month on a 12-month plan or about $85 on a 6-month plan.
- No month-to-month plan: terms renew on their own for the same length.
- Included: clinician visits, insurance help and the WW nutrition program.
The medicine is billed separately. See our WeightWatchers cost breakdown.
Other brands that charge a membership
Hims, Hers, Noom, Zealthy, LifeMD and Ivim also bill a membership or program fee on top of, or built into, the medicine. Each has its own rules, covered in our cost breakdowns for Hims, Hers, Noom, Zealthy, LifeMD and Ivim.
How much does a membership add over a year?
Same drug, same dose steps, with and without the fee. These totals use today's prices and the label's usual dose steps.
Wegovy pill: NovoCare alone vs Ro
- NovoCare alone: about $150 for a month at 1.5 mg, about $200 for a month at 4 mg, then 10 bottles at 9 or 25 mg at about $300. That is about $3,340 a year, plus your doctor visits.
- Through Ro, monthly membership: add about $1,675 in the first year, with the $39 first month. That is about $5,015.
- Through Ro, prepaid year: add about $890. That is about $4,230.
Zepbound KwikPen: LillyDirect alone vs WeightWatchers
- LillyDirect alone: about $300 for a box at 2.5 mg, about $400 for a box at 5 mg, then 11 boxes at 7.5 mg and up at about $450, refilled on time. A box lasts 28 days, so a year is 13 boxes, about $5,640.
- Through WeightWatchers, 12-month plan: add about $835, with the $25 first month. That is about $6,475.
All-in compounded, for scale
- JoinSkinny semaglutide: 13 charges of about $150, about $1,940 a year.
- Pallas semaglutide, month to month: about $140, then 12 charges of about $200, about $2,525 a year.
Brand-name totals drop if you stay on a lower dose, because their price rises with each step. Compounded totals stay the same, since their price does not change with the dose.
Is a no-membership GLP-1 legit?
Yes, when it comes with a real prescription from a licensed clinician. The bigger question is what you are buying: a brand-name drug or a compounded one.
- Brand-name Wegovy, Zepbound and Foundayo: FDA-approved, sold by the maker's own pharmacy at a fixed cash price.
- Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide: mixed by a licensed pharmacy for one patient. The FDA has not approved it as a finished drug.
The shortages that allowed wide compounding are over. The FDA ended the tirzepatide shortage in December 2024 and the semaglutide shortage on February 21, 2025.
A 503A pharmacy can still compound for one patient with a medical reason. On April 30, 2026, the FDA proposed not to add semaglutide and tirzepatide to the 503B bulks list. That list governs large outsourcing facilities. Comments closed on July 30, 2026, and no final decision has been published.
Watch for these red flags anywhere you shop:
- No prescription or no clinician: a real GLP-1 always needs one.
- Labelled for research use or not for human use: that is not a medicine.
- Brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound far below the maker's cash price: only insurance and Medicare go lower.
Our compounded GLP-1 guide covers pharmacy types and how to check one.
With insurance or Medicare, do you need a membership at all?
Often not. Your own doctor can prescribe and send the approval paperwork to your plan.
If your plan covers the drug, a maker's savings card can lower your copay. Read its cap first. The card pays up to a set amount each month, not your whole bill.
On Medicare Part D, the GLP-1 Bridge charges $50 for a one-month supply from July 1, 2026. Approvals run through December 31, 2027. It covers Wegovy pill or pen, Foundayo and the Zepbound KwikPen only.
- BMI of 35 or more: no other condition needed.
- BMI of 30 or more: plus diastolic heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or chronic kidney disease stage 3a or higher.
- BMI of 27 or more: plus prediabetes, a past heart attack or stroke, or leg artery disease with symptoms.
- Left out: type 2 diabetes, moderate to severe sleep apnea, fatty liver disease, or a GLP-1 your Part D plan already covers.
Your prescriber files a prior authorization, an approval step before the plan pays. Extra Help does not lower the $50. Our GLP-1 savings guide covers the cards, and GLP-1 without insurance covers cash routes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a GLP-1 with no membership or subscription at all?+–
Yes. Buy brand-name Wegovy from NovoCare or Zepbound from LillyDirect, and get the prescription from your own doctor or a pay-per-visit clinician. Nothing renews unless you order it. All-in compounded plans like JoinSkinny have no membership, but they are still subscriptions that renew until you cancel.
Is there a GLP-1 pharmacy that sells without a membership?+–
Yes. NovoCare Pharmacy sells Wegovy from about $150 a month for the pill. LillyDirect sells Zepbound from about $300 a month. Neither charges a membership, and both deliver free. Local pharmacies can also give the self-pay price for Wegovy with Novo's savings offer, and for the Zepbound KwikPen.
How do I get a GLP-1 prescription without joining a weight-loss program?+–
Ask your own doctor or gynecologist at your usual copay. You can also use a pay-per-visit online doctor such as PlushCare, or Push Health, which charges per request. They send the prescription to NovoCare, LillyDirect or your local pharmacy.
Are all-in compounded GLP-1 plans really membership-free?+–
The ones on this page are. JoinSkinny, Nu Image Medical, Arbor, BetterMe Rx, Gala and Pallas Health charge one price for the medicine and the care. But they renew on their own, some bill every 28 days, and most refund nothing once a prescription is written. Read the terms, since some brands advertise one price and add a membership at checkout.
Do Ro, Hims or Mochi charge a membership on top of the medication?+–
Yes. Ro's membership is about $150 a month, with a $39 first month, and the drug is billed separately. Mochi's membership is about $80 a month, with the drug priced by dose. Hims also charges a membership, either on top of the medicine or built into its plan price.
With no membership, does my price go up when my dose goes up?+–
It depends on the route. Brand-name prices rise with the dose: the Wegovy pill goes from about $150 to about $300, and Zepbound from about $300 to about $450. Most all-in compounded plans here, such as JoinSkinny, Arbor, BetterMe Rx and Gala, keep one price at every dose.
